Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Student outreach via email and phone calls

  • Must be comfortable making cold calls and speaking to customers

Assisting teachers with check in/greeting students

  • Must be outgoing, warm, conversational, and able to “read the room”

Opening/closing the studio

  • Must be responsible with keys

Setting up for classes

  • Lighting candles

  • Laying mats and/or props down

Organizing props

  • Folding and stacking yoga blankets

  • Neatly stacking 10 lb. sandbags

  • Must be comfortable squatting/kneeling as some props are stored on or close to the floor


  • Vacuuming 

  • Wiping down mats

  • Cleaning the toilet and bathroom sink

  • Magic erasing marks on the walls

  • Taking out the garbage

  • Restocking toilet paper, paper towels, tissues

  • Must be thorough and detail oriented

Watering plants

  • Involves carrying and climbing a 3 step ladder

Refilling mat spray

Washing sponges

Marketing and Sales

  • Drafting newsletters

  • Taking photos & videos for social media

  • Responding to reviews

Administrative Tasks

  • Helping source supplies 

  • Processing gift cards

  • Creating and responding to Google Forms



  • A positive and energetic attitude with excellent customer service skills 

  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and detail oriented

  • A minimum of 6 months of work experience in a similar role

  • Experience practicing yoga/basic knowledge of the practice


Compensation: $18/hour plus opportunities for commission. You may also take any class or workshop that is not full (and not during your shift) for free. 



  • Part-time, 14 hours per week (flexible)

  • Shifts: Mondays 5-9pm, Thursdays 5-9pm, Saturdays 9:30am-12:30pm, Sundays 9:30am-12:30pm


A typical shift will look like: 

You arrive at the studio 30 minutes prior to a class to clean the studio and set up the mats. You greet the students as they arrive and assist the teacher with check in.


During the class, you complete administrative tasks on our laptop including responding to emails, making check in phone calls, printing promotional posters, drafting newsletters, etc. You may run a local errand such as picking up clorox wipes from CVS, getting a lightbulb from the hardware store, or bringing our sponges to the laundromat.


After class you say goodbye to the students, clean the space, and close the studio. 

Depending on your shift, there may be multiple classes back to back or just one. You will be in the company of the students and the teachers but will also be by yourself at the studio at times, working independently.
