FAQ
TAKING CLASS
When should I arrive/what if I am late?
Please plan to arrive about 10 min before class to give yourself time to change and get settled. Due to the nature of our space, we lock the doors as soon as class begins and late arrivals are not permitted.
Should I bring my own mat?
You are welcome to so do. We also have mats for you to borrow complimentary.
Are there lockers?
No, please leave all valuable items at home. We do, however, lock the studio doors for the entirety of class.
I am new to yoga. Which classes would be best for me?
If you are new to yoga we recommend starting with Candlelit Katonah Restorative on Sundays from 7-8:15pm. You can think of this class as your weekly maintenance for your body. Rather than focusing on building strength we will address all the major joints of the body and set ourselves up in long holds of restorative postures while bringing attention to our breath and soothing our nervous systems. If you are looking for something more active you can come to any of our Open Level Classes (Vinyasa, Katonah, or Katonah Vinyasa) which are suitable for all levels. Whichever class you choose to attend, please let your teacher know if you are new and/or experiencing any injuries.
WAITLIST
How does the waitlist work?
If you are on the waitlist and a spot opens up you will receive an email notification and text message letting you know you've been added to the class roster. You will be notified no later than 1 hour before the start of class and you will then be held to our no show/late cancellation policy.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Do you offer private yoga?
Yes. If there is a teacher you'd like to work with you can ask them directly if they have any openings available for private students. If you're unsure of who to work with send us an email at hello@sarainyc.com and let us know what you'd like to work on.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
All purchases are nonrefundable. You may cancel your class reservation up to 4 hours before the start of class through Walla, at which point the class will be added back to your account to be used in the future. If not cancelled in time, we unfortunately cannot refund the class. If you have an unlimited membership, late cancels and no shows will incur a $25 charge for all classes except Maha Sadhana which will incur a $35 charge.
