MEET BEN

Ben grew up in Nyack, NY, where he was exposed to a lifestyle of holistic wellness early on. He teaches classes all around NYC and elsewhere throughout the year. He enjoys teaching any style, but his particular interests and focus are in Power/Ashtanga, Dynamic Vinyasa, Yin, Forrest, Katonah, Dharma, and Traditional Hot Yoga. He finds significance in incorporating various forms and theories of movement, while making a priority of strong and safe alignment.
He discovered the positive, profound impact yoga had on him from the first time he stepped on the mat years ago. He found that with consistent practice, yoga laid a strong foundation to beneficially change the rest of one's life. His practice and studies have been a holistic medicine for him. They have been liberating, while enabling him to develop will power and discipline. The practices of yoga continue to open him to the world, and expand his ability to harness and utilize spiritual, physical and mental fortitude. They simultaneously improve one from the outside in and the inside out, and lead to equanimity. He sees asana as a fun way to explore the body-mind and cultivate presence in the present. He's so grateful for the beautiful connections he's formed through the yoga community. It has all led him to finding truth, acceptance and bliss in the Infinite.
Ben completed his 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training at Pranavah Yoga Studio, his 300 HR YTT with Science of Self YTT and Yoga to the People, and his 100 HR Yin YTT with Corina Benner at the Integral Yoga Institute. He is inspired and humbled to share this awesome, ancient union between breath and movement with others. He received his Reiki Attunements with Reiki Masters Lisa Levine & Erika Spring at Maha Rose, in Brooklyn, NY and his Intuitive Thai Therapy Certifications (Thai Yoga Bodywork) with Sarah Seely (Thai Brooklyn). He studies Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupressure with his mentor Rose Erin Vaughan ( MCAs, E-RYT). He is incredibly grateful and honored to share these healing modalities and enhance connection and awareness through them.
